Nowadays, with technological development, people's pace of life has increased significantly. The aim of this study is to examine the acceleration of social change and the increase in the pace of life of people, along with the increase in transportation, communication and production and digitalization, in the industrial society process that started with the invention of the steam engine and the subsequent industrial revolution, in the context of the social acceleration theory developed by Hartmut Rosa. It will be expressed how network time intervenes in the field of mechanical clock time and how it expands its field. In this study, the concepts of acceleration and time will be examined by literature review in the light of three interconnected books and the ideas and thoughts of their authors. The first of these books is the book titled “Social Acceleration A New Theory Of Modernity” by Hartmut Rosa (2013), the second is the book titled “High Speed Society, Social Acceleration, Power and Modernity” compiled by Hartmut Rosa and William E.Scheuerman (2009) and the last one is Robert It is the work titled "Empires of Speed, Acceleration of Society and Politics, and Time", written by Hassan in 2009. By giving examples from the ideas and thoughts of the authors who wrote about acceleration and time, we are living in a time when multiple time (twin time) dominates, along with the mechanical clock, which was the first time empire, and the network time, which developed as the second time empire.
