RESEARCH FOR "ARKA SOKAKLAR" SERİES IN THE CONTEXT OF SURVELLIANCE TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

In this study, the control of USMS-MESI systems are examined.In terms of urban security and how it is handled in the series "Arka Sokaklar ". Although the subject is handled by using the concept of Current Justice, the inclusion of serial analysis in the study also required a semiotic analysis. In this context, the USMS system has been described. In addition to that, the concept of Current Justice was used. The series "Arka Sokaklar " was analyzed in general and sample scenes using Surveillance Technologies were discussed. In addition to general analysis of the surveillance system in the TV series "Arka Sokaklar ", sample scenes from the series were selected. The three selected scenes were also evaluated in terms of semiotics. The concept of “Current Justice” was also applied within this framework. In the series analysis, Lyon (1997), who was included in "Current Justice", pointed out that computer data matching is effective in this context and that surveillance technologies are an effective tool for data matching. The emphasis on the fact that “Arka Sokaklar” is only  TV serie, as the author's notes, was written in the interview with the assistant director. Here, it was pointed out that similar technologies were used in the series so that create a shooting under the influence of systems such as USMS -MESI. In addition to all these, other surveillance technologies are also discussed in this serial.
