Abstract

The Platform (2019) film is considered as a film that will make in-depth analyzes in many contexts such as social classifications, sociological evaluations, unequal resource distribution, class formations of societies, liberal and capitalist economic models, and so on. Moreover, it is possible to read the film, which is shaped by such critical approaches and can be read in this context, in a sense parallel to or completely opposite to its sub-texts, since it is broadcast on a digital cinema platform, which is an element of capitalism. In this direction, after literature review in the study, discourse analysis will be made and the film will be analyzed by looking at the "Hell" section of Dante’s The Divine Comedy, the representation of the seven deadly sins of Christianity and the concept of the redeemer Messiah in the film. It will be looked at how the film, which was shot hundreds of years after these works, came into being in today's cinema.
