Abstract

The diversity of content and content producers that emerged as a result of globalization in internet-based networks has allowed the emergence of new functions besides the use of the internet world only for entertainment and communication. This diversity of functions can be positive as well as cause negative situations. Especially from some of the activities carried out through virtual networks, content producers can earn economic income thanks to the audiences they reach. This situation creates a direct relationship between individuals' economic income and body display. While privacy in internet-based networks is primarily framed by various borders for the purpose of protecting the individual and his/her environment, as a result of internet-based networks becoming economic income, body exposure becomes normalized as a result of activities such as being viewed, watched, shared, and admired, body exposure turns into economic income on the internet, and the body becomes commodified. The change in the perception of privacy and economic concerns cause the destruction of beliefs, value judgments and various rules in societies.

This study examines the applications of OnlyFans and Only Feetfinder, which are internet-based new media tools, with descriptive method within the framework of body display and commodification of the body. Within the scope of the research, practices are examined, and the legal and ethical dimensions of body expositions and economic income are questioned.
